Instructions
Preparation Steps
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the onion, green bell pepper, and carrots to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and add to the skillet with the sauce.
Stir to combine and heat through. Serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also add other vegetables, such as mushrooms or zucchini.
