  • 1 package manicotti shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg egg
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook manicotti shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and basil. Mix well.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Fill each manicotti shell with the ricotta mixture and place them in the baking dish.
  • Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the manicotti. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
