- 1 package manicotti shells
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg egg
- 0.5 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook manicotti shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and basil. Mix well.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Fill each manicotti shell with the ricotta mixture and place them in the baking dish.
Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the manicotti. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
