Preparation Steps

  • Cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place bread slices in the skillet.
  • Crack an egg into the hole in each slice of bread.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use sourdough bread. You can also add cheese to the egg.
