  • 1 lb Kielbasa sausage
  • 2 lb Potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Cook kielbasa according to package directions. Slice into 1/2 inch pieces and set aside.
  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, sauté onions in a little oil until softened.
  • Add potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Stir in milk or cream, cooked kielbasa, salt and pepper. Heat through and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use bone-in kielbasa. You can also add other vegetables, such as carrots or celery.
