  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth.
  • Stir in cheese until melted and smooth. Add cooked macaroni and stir to combine.
  • Pour macaroni and cheese into a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

Can be topped with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
