Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Stir in M&Ms and chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.
Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
