Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the crust by combining flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add ice water, mixing until dough comes together. Press into a baking pan.
In a bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans.
Pour filling over the crust. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
