  • 12 ounces Scallops
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Pat scallops dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove scallops from skillet and add lemon juice to the pan. Stir to combine.
  • Serve scallops immediately with the lemon butter sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprig of fresh thyme to the skillet while searing the scallops.
