Instructions
Preparation Steps
Pat scallops dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Add scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove scallops from skillet and add lemon juice to the pan. Stir to combine.
Serve scallops immediately with the lemon butter sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprig of fresh thyme to the skillet while searing the scallops.
