  • 2.5 cups fresh strawberries
  • 0.75 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  • Roll out one pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Pour strawberry mixture into the pie crust.
  • Top with the second pie crust, crimping the edges to seal.
  • Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled with a dollop of whipped cream.
