Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add celery and onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Add bread cubes and toss to coat.
Gradually add chicken broth, stirring until bread is moistened.
Transfer stuffing to a greased baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
Notes
For a richer stuffing, use half butter and half olive oil. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or carrots.
