Instructions
Preparation Steps
Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, ricotta cheese, chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
Serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier soup, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also add other vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms.
